Autumn Holiday

Every autumn a morning performance (matinee) takes place in the kindergarten where my eldest daughter, Alesia, goes. Children prepare to perform, learn their parts in the Autumn performance and then appear on stage before their parents. In this autumn Alesia got the leading role in the performance - she played the role of Autumn.
So I, as her mother, had to take care of the costume. I decided to make it by myself and here's what I made - a sun-dress with an appliqué in the form of leaves and a headband with a flower.

A Girl with a Hare (Handmade Doll)

A young mother, Natalie, has asked me to sew a doll for her daughter's room recently. I showed her all the dolls I'd made and she chose this Handmade Doll with a Bear. Although I liked that doll very much, I didn't want to sew the same doll again, so I suggested her just to use the same material but make a different doll and change her partner ).
So here it is:

P.S. It turns out that Natalie and her daughter, Alexandra, collect dolls from around the world. So now there is the doll of my production ) in their collection (as they said - it was the first handmade doll from Belarus).

Expecting a Baby - 2 (a Pregnant Tilda Doll)

I didn't have a chance to sew a Tilda doll for quite a long time. Finally I got a request for such a doll - a loving husband ordered this pregnant Tilda doll for his wife who's expecting a baby.
I sewed it in a burst of inspiration perhaps because I know how it feels like to expect a baby.

Peppa Pig (Handmade Toy) - Feedback

A few posts ago I wrote about my first handmade Peppa Pig toy. Now I want to present her little owner. Her name is Polina and she got this Peppa Pig toy as a present for her third birthday.

A Handmade Present for a New Mother

This handmade doll with a baby was ordered as a present for a girl called Volha who's recently become a mother. She's had a nice daughter.

I'm sending my best wishes to the new mother and her new-born daughter along with this doll.

Crow - a storage for packets (Handmade Kitchen Toy)

I saw a toy like this at a handmade site and I liked the idea.

This funny bird is not just a kitchen decoration - you can use it as a plastic bag recycler. There are usually a number of plastic bags that remain after shopping and it's not very Greenpeace-ingly )) to throw them away - put them in this crow's skirt instead. Later, when you need a packet, for example to take some apples, just take it back from this nice packet keeper and thank her ))

Handmade Doll with a Little Bear (Handmade Toy)

A little 3-year old girl lives in my street. She likes puffy pink dresses, bows, hairpins and other girls' accessories. Her mother asked me to sew this lovely doll with a flower-decorated dress.

I really liked sewing this doll but when it was finished I had a subtle feeling that something's missing in her image... Suddenly I thought: Is there a girl that doesn't like little bears?! All girls love them )) So I attached this little-little orange bear to her hand.

This nice doll is 35cm high, can sit and stay by herself - she's a big girl ))
The little bear is attached with help of a press stud.
