Hare Glove Doll (Handmade Toy)

Not long ago I was asked to sew a glove doll for a very little boy that "can talk" :). I liked the idea, because it is always interesting to try sewing something new. For inspiration I started browsing on the internet. I found and processed a lot of information and finally I made up my mind - I decided to sew a Japanese-style talking glove doll. Here's the hare doll I sewed:

It is possible to unfasten the carrot, so it is more interesting for the baby to play with the toy. Also the Hare has a pocket on his belly for some surprises.

Sleepy Angels (Handmade Tilda Dolls)

These three handmade sleepy Tilda angels became farewell presents to three girls
Those three girls changed their jobs and left the firm where they had been working and their good friend asked me to sew the angel dolls for them.

Here they are:

Handmade Teapot Cover

This teapot cover was ordered by Zarina, a girl who likes tea very much. She wanted both to keep the warmth of her favourite drink and to decorate the kitchen with a doll. And she made up her mind that the ideal solution would be to make a teapot that looks like a doll. I suggested that the prototype of the doll would be the heroine of the "Merchant's Wife" picture by Boris Kustodiev. Zarina liked the idea very much because, as it turned out, she liked the pictures created by this painter.
Some "technical details":
The warmth is saved by means of the skirt made from wadding.
Also, it is the first doll sewed by me that has a breast (What a merchant's wife it is if she hasn't got a breast?! Everybody who is familiar with the creations of Boris Kustodiev knows that all his models were rather plump)

Wedding (Bride and Groom Handmade Dolls)

There was a wedding of Kate and Victor in the end of July this year. This pair of "just married" handmade dolls was ordered by the bride's sister. It was really interesting for me to work on these dolls because I had to re-create the characters as close to the real people as possible. Especially, I paid much attention to the bride: her hair, tiara, dress, shoes; as well as to the bride-groom: hair, suit, and... glasses :)

Pippi Longstocking - Handmade Doll

Three weeks ago a new children's footwear shop "Pippi" was opened in Salihorsk, Belarus. This "Pippi Longstocking" handmade doll became the symbol of the shop.

It's worth noting that this is my first doll sewed in such a style. The idea of a doll like this I had been nurtured for a long time, luckily the owners of the shop, a young couple, Alexander and Angela, asked me to sew the doll.
I liked the doll very much much, so do my clients :)

Tilda Ships for a Boy (Handmade Tilda Toys)

I've had an experience of making Tilda Ships. This time a young woman asked me to sew two Tilda ships to decorate her son's room. The interior of the room is made in the marine style, that's why my ships fits perfectly into it.
The ships are decorated with sea shells which my daughters collected last summer on the shores of the Black sea in Bulgaria :)

The Princess and the Pea (Handmade Doll)

This doll now lives at a little girl's. The girl's name is Dasha, she's one year old and her mother gave this "Princess and the Pea" handmade doll to her as a birthday present. The doll is a representation of the mother's love to her daughter, that's why it holds a heart in its hands with an inscription saying "Princess for Dasha".

P.S. Also I sewed two dolls like this one while preparing for the previous Mlyn craft fair. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to take a good photos of them - they were bought very quickly :)

"I wish you'll have a dream about pink hares..." (Handmade Hare Toys)

... a woman said and gave them as a present to the man who was her first love and whom she hadn't seen for years. These pyjama hares became a reminder of those marvellous days they had spent together.

I sewed hare toys like these for the first time and worry whether everything would be all right with them. Fortunately, my worries were unfounded - both the romantic woman and her first love liked the hare toys very much.

Handmade Dolls for Twin Sisters

I was asked to sew dolls for twin sisters. There were two requirements: dolls should be very much alike and one of them should wear pink clothes while another should be in blue...
As I was told later, the girls liked the dolls very much.
This is the best assessment of my art.

Ballerina in White (Handmade Doll)

At last an opportunity arose to sew a real Ballerina Handmade Doll (well... Santa doesn't count :))
To sew it I used a pattern of Korean dolls. People often call them textile Barbie dolls, because they are very elegant and delicate.
The occasion for sewing this doll was the birthday of a girl who professionally dances a ballet. Her mother ordered this Ballerina Doll for her. She wanted the doll to be very gentle and, above all, snow-white.
Here it is, the birthday present for the young ballerina:
