A Handmade Present for a New Mother

This handmade doll with a baby was ordered as a present for a girl called Volha who's recently become a mother. She's had a nice daughter.

I'm sending my best wishes to the new mother and her new-born daughter along with this doll.

I saw a toy like this at a handmade site and I liked the idea.

This funny bird is not just a kitchen decoration - you can use it as a plastic bag recycler. There are usually a number of plastic bags that remain after shopping and it's not very Greenpeace-ingly )) to throw them away - put them in this crow's skirt instead. Later, when you need a packet, for example to take some apples, just take it back from this nice packet keeper and thank her ))

Handmade Doll with a Little Bear (Handmade Toy)

A little 3-year old girl lives in my street. She likes puffy pink dresses, bows, hairpins and other girls' accessories. Her mother asked me to sew this lovely doll with a flower-decorated dress.

I really liked sewing this doll but when it was finished I had a subtle feeling that something's missing in her image... Suddenly I thought: Is there a girl that doesn't like little bears?! All girls love them )) So I attached this little-little orange bear to her hand.

This nice doll is 35cm high, can sit and stay by herself - she's a big girl ))
The little bear is attached with help of a press stud.
